Basket-Bladder Press
Posted on Sep 29 2026
This wooden Basket-Bladder Press with a patented membrane system has notable advantages over the traditional pressing method. The actual operations of the basket-bladder are completely automatic. The only manual intervention is the actual loading and unloading of the fruit and rice hulls. This used press has been setup for water connection which provides water pressure by slowly enlarging the bladder, which presses against cage walls, resulting in a soft and effective pressing. The press, Model 70, manufactured in Italy by Idropress, has a non-toxic natural rubber bladder. The almost-new bladder works in conjunction with a press screen bag and rice hulls and can be used for tender fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, etc. It can also press grapes in bunches for primary wine-making. Capacity is rated for 1,100 pounds. The press comes complete with a stainless steel holding tank with a capacity of approximately 150 litres as well as 7 extra large bags of rice hulls. $700 CDN Pick up in Caledon, ON.....Contact John Downey @ 416-706-2710.
