Full-Time Machine Operator

Tzafona Cellars located in Niagara on the Lake is seeking an equipment operator to work on our 65 acres of vineyard located over two farms in the region.

Primary job includes driving multiple farm tractors (with cabs, AC, air filters), spraying, grape hoeing, spreading dry manure, mowing, nutrient and weed spraying. Use of a Bobcat skidsteer with postpounder is also part of the job for trellis and fence work.

Tractor driving experience required. Mechanical knowledge and understand equipment maintenance an asset as is use of clearing saw and chainsaw.

This is a full-time (40-50 hours a week) seasonal job (April-November) initially but can become full-time permanent with the right candidate and proven performance.

Must have your own reliable transportation and live within 45 minutes commute of the estate farm on Line 2 in Niagara-on-the-lake.

Must be legally allowed to work in Canada, physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds.

Starting pay is $22/hr or above depending on abilities.

Macedo Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of Toronto. We are looking for a full-time winemaker to join our team. The winemaker will contribute to all aspects of the winemaking process and will help oversee and participate in all cellar operations from grape to bottle. The role and responsibilities include: - Overseeing and executing day-to-day winemaking duties and cellar warehouse management. -Laboratory Analysis -Forklift and cellar equipment operation and ability to do basic maintenance. -Contribute to achieving the desired quality and style of winemaking goals set by the production manager. -Create and exercise a safe and healthy work environment for employees, through eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness. -Responsible for shipping & and receiving and warehouse management/organization. -Monitor bulk wine inventory to ensure quality is maintained through routine cellar maintenance, temperature controls, analytical testing, and regular tastings. -Ensure compliance of site operations with company policy and Federal and Provincial regulations -Represent the winery and the company at promotional activities; attending events and venues to showcase the wines. -Perform wine tastings when needed and assist with customer service -Inventory reconciliation and reporting, including inventory transfers to the tasting room. -Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to record and generate reports and data compilation. -The ability to work independently, or in a team environment. Qualifications include: -Minimum of 5 years winemaking experience. -Proven knowledge and understanding of viticulture, premium grape growing, blending, and grape concentrate techniques. -Knowledge of administrative work -Forklift certification or willing to obtain - Full time 40 hours
